Paranormal Activity 2

One of the films I watched this week was Paranormal Activity 2. The first one would probably be in the top 3 scariest films I have ever seen, following The Shining and The Orphanage. I cried in the cinema when watching it and slept with the light on for 5 nights afterwards. I'm 27 by the way. Anyway, when I found out the sequel was going to involve a dog AND a baby, needless to say I was preparing myself for more sleepless nights.

So the film is scary, but for me, didn't have nearly as much impact as the first one and it felt a bit like director Tod Williams was using the same tricks. But, it did replicate some of the suspenseful dread of the first film and build on the original storyline - it was quite clever how they made them fit together. You do have to have seen the first one to have seen it. Its pretty scary, and worth a watch - 3 popcorns.
