Get him to the Greek
I went to see Get Him to the Greek last night at Westfield. As a big fan of Forgetting Sarah Marshall I was keen to see it but slightly apprenhensive about how worth a spin off film Russell Brands character was. No need for apprehension.. it was bloody funny, and Brand was absolutely superb! As was Sean Combs AKA Pdiddy AKA Puff Daddy, and Jonah Hill. Though whilst I love Hill, his lack of chin is impressive. He has a massive face which just at some point turns into a neck, but its not clear when. The film is not a masterpiece but the last time I remember laughing this much at the cinema was The Hangover last year.
Plot
IDMB --> "Aaron Greenberg (Hill) gets things done. The ambitious 23-year-old has exaggerated his way into a dream job just in time for a career-making assignment. His mission: Fly to London and escort a rock god to L.A.s Greek Theatre for the first-stop on a $100-million tour. His warning: Turn your back on him at your own peril. British rocker Aldous Snow (Brand) is both a brilliant musician and walking sex. Weary of yes men and piles of money, the former front man is searching for the meaning of life. But that doesnt mean he cant have a few orgies while he finds it. When he learns his true love is in California, Aldous makes it his quest to win her backright before kick-starting his world domination.
As the countdown to the concert begins, one intern must navigate a minefield of London drug smuggles, New York City brawls and Vegas lap dances to deliver his charge safe and, sort of, sound. He may have to coax, lie to, enable and party with Aldous, but Aaron will get him to the Greek."
Here are some reviews, I would suggest you only pay attention to the good ones..Reviews- Rotten Tomatoes
I loved it and would definitely go see it. Ive always been on the cusp of finding Brand attractive, but he really pulled it out of the bag for me this time and now I would literally sell my gran if he would take me as his wife.
