I'm BaaaAAAAACKKKK!

So after a lengthy break involving two job-changes, two house-moves and a growing addiction to The Wire, I have decided to give my blog the attention it deserves(?), now that I am the Kodak Digital Specialist for the UK I need to get back into this shiz!

I am not going to join in the repetitive debate on what social media and provide my musings on the, listen, engage and communicate theories but focus instead on my one true love... films, and a bit of music and shit TV too.

So I shall start with two awesome films i saw recently...

The first, Men Who Stare at Goats-- not read the book, but I  loved every minute of it. I'd guess its probs an aquired taste but amazing cast. Jeff bridges who became a personal hero of mine ~(and undoubtedly many many others) after playing the Dude, is awesome, and so of course is Clooney! Ewan Mcgregor is OK, but I've never massively rated him. Likeable enough, but can take or leave him really. REALLY funny, but not for everyone. Sort of felt Spacey could have had a bigger role in it too -- I should probably stop talking about it before I put myself off it. I laughed all the way through, so that's enough for me.

The second PARANORMAL ACTIVITY. Holy shit, this was scary. It played on almost every fear I ever had growing up as a child (OK- every fear I still have) and I am pretty sure I will never be able to sleep in my folks house ever again, so xmas could be pretty awkward. It solidified the fact for me, that the noisey boiler and the creaky floorboards, were as suspected, actually demons and ghosts looking to haunt me. Brilliant.

Much scarier than the Blair Witch, and with a very slightly less annoying front lady - this film is beyond scary. There were tears in my eyes for most of it. I can't decide whether or not it was scarier than The Orphanage The Orphanage scared me beyond measure so much so I cried twice in it, and when I went back to my parents house, I had to call my mother at 11pm to come and meet me in the kitchen. I was scared there would be a cripped orphan with a sack face waiting to play with me.

*SPOILER ALERT*

Here are the three alternative endings for Paranormal activity..http://popwatch.ew.com/2009/10/30/paranormal-activity-three-super-scary-alternate-endings-spoiler-alert/

My two current lovefilm DVD's are Milk and a French film called the Hairdressers husband. Watched Milk the other day - needless to say it was amazing. And although Sean Penn annoys me in the same way Bono does, he was incredible in it. Will keep you posted on the latter.

Make Bono History.

Byeeeeeeeeeeee xx
